Event Resala Orpahange Fundraiser (((13,500 LE donated in a 2 day event activity))) The Resala Orphanage Fundraiser was our first group activity & El 7amdo lil Lah, it was great and we exceeded our expectations of 10,000 LE donations by almost 3,500 LE more. All receipts are posted on the group pictures. The event took place on Friday the 14th & Saturday the 15th at the Heliopolis Resala around 2:30 PM. Around 15 members attended and I have to mention them one by one: Hesham Farag, Hesham Basyoony, Abdel Raouf Nabeeh, Ashraf Hamdy, Amr Aboushook, Mostafa Aboushook, Ahmed Hamdy, Sameh Sameer, Murad Kassem, Rehab, Dalia, Myself and from Resala (Nora), (Yasmine), (Islam), (Sahar), (Safaa) and the Pharmacy Staff (Dr Ahmed Bahgat) who actually helped us a lot. I hope I didn't leave anyone out. The Money donated was around 11,000 LE on Friday and around 2.000 LE on Saturday (there was also 4,00 donated by bank transfer befo re from South Africa) which brings total donated aprox. 13,500 LE. -We donated 2500 LE for the least 2 fortunate orphans in Resala, other orphans on location didn't need more funds as of now. -We donated 7600 LE for the general account of orphans which is directed towards nationwide orphan needs. -We donated 500 LE for an urgent case that called in for help at Resala while we were there, the case was located at The Matareya Hospital. -We donated 450 LE for (Shantet Ramadan) Resala Project. -We bought medication for the Pharmacy on location at Resala that cost 1,540 LE. -We bought milk for patients that require certain nutrition standards 75 LE. -We also ordered some medication that couldn't be picked up the same day for the pharmacy that cost around 350 LE. What happened on Friday: We entered Resala 3 PM, started with a quick tour to the Resala Orphanage and all it's facilities and ended with spending some quality times with the orphans who were awake (Youcef & Wageeh). The tour took about an hour to an hour and a half then we went downstairs to donate the money. Three of us left a bit early to reach Matareya Hospital to donate the 500 LE for that one case that needed urgent help. We all left around 5 - 5:30 PM, where 5 of us regrouped Saturday to buy medications need by Resala's Pharmacy. What happened on Saturday: We grouped around 2:30, Dalia who couldn't attend Friday showed up Saturday, along with Murad, Samed, Rehab and Myself. We got the medication list from Resala, we also kidnaped Islam from Resala to help up us with our hunt. We then went hunting for the best deal for medications from MAKHAZEN ADWEYA in heliopolis. After an hour or more, we had someone working on preparing the medications on the list. After picking up the medications we went to buy the milk needed. Sounds so simple and easy but if you add the traffic factor it makes it an exhausting experience. Anyhow, we thank God 1st for everything related to the event, starting from the idea itself. The event was great & we even exceeded our donations goals. I would also like to thank everyone who attended or worked on making things flow easier (Resala Staff).
